The room was small but super comfy—really enjoyed the bed! It had a sink, tea and coffee, and decent storage for clothes. Hot water was always available, but the shower pressure was a bit lacking. No Wi-Fi in the room, which was a bummer, but you could use it in the shared lounge. The place was clean and tidy, and overall, it felt pretty chill.

Location nails it—just a five-minute stroll to the town center and close to the railway station makes it easy for moving around. The décor in the room adds a splash of character, with bright colors that create a surprisingly light atmosphere despite the hallway's darkness.
The mattress felt like an ancient relic, springs were poking through and made the night anything but restful. The shower is tiny. a challenge even for someone slim. Damp patches on the ceiling emitted a scent that wasn't pleasant, and the TV lacked a remote, which was annoying for winding down after a long day. Plus, the breakfast could end up a bit cold if you’re not an early riser.

The single room with bathroom had solid amenities, essential toiletries provided, clean sheets, and a comfortable bed. A perfect spot for a solo traveler needing a quick, convenient stay, with local shops just around the corner.
Room 4 had a partially broken accordion-style door that wasn’t a major issue but could have used some repairs. The shower controls weren't clearly labeled, leaving me guessing on usage—thankfully, I managed without a problem. the dimly lit stairs leading down from the top floor aren't very noticeable, which led to a near-stumble, so a little more lighting would do wonders. The decor leaned towards darker tones, making the atmosphere feel a bit heavy at times.

would want to stay there again
Was really comfy with everything you need in a Single Room with Shared Bathroom. Clean towels and soft pillows made for a nice sleep. The electric kettle was super handy for a late night cuppa. Breakfast was a highlight too, fresh and cooked to order. Lovely location close to shops!

the staff here are super friendly, especially kayleigh, who welcomed us warmly. i really appreciated the clean room and comfy bed, even tho it was small. breakfast was tasty, like 1 sausage and beans, but it did the job. location is spot on, just a 5 min walk from the train station. felt really chill and homey!
the shower was tiny and the wifi didn’t work well in my room. could use a bit of sprucing up in some areas.

Cozy stay with a friendly vibe
Just spent a night here. The breakfast was decent, typical fare with bacon and eggs, and the staff were super nice! The room was on the small side though, and the shower felt more like a phone booth. The Wi-Fi wasn’t in the room, but at least there was some in the lounge, which helped!

Just a fine choice for a brief sojourn in Southampton with outstanding value. The owner was really pleasant and knowledgeable about the area. Bring good ear plugs as there can be a lot of traffic noise.
